Fujifilm Announces the X-E3 – Is it the Perfect Camera for Fujicron Lenses?

Fans of the X-E form factor have been waiting for a new version with Fuji’s updated 24MP sensor…and it’s here!

You can look at the X-E3’s new specs elsewhere. I’m most excited for the size reduction. It’s smaller than the X-E2 and matches beautifully with the compact ‘Fujicron’ lenses. Could make for a great compact travel kit. The f2 primes are tapered to work with the X-Pro2’s Optical View Finder, but if the X-Pro2 is too large for your tastes, the X-E3 might be a better choice.

What do you think? X-E3 and a few f2 primes for a really compact kit? Stick with the larger X-Pro2 and it’s hybrid view finder? Or maybe stay with the older X-E2?

  2. [“What do you think? X-E3 and a few f2 primes for a really compact kit? Stick with the larger X-Pro2 and it’s hybrid view finder? No fumbling to change lenses, and each camera is set up exactly as I need. I’m an old skul photojournalist, so carrying a couple of bodies with primes (and shooting manual focus) is like breathing. Very natural.

  3. Hi! Do you use Twitter? I’d like to follow
you if that would be ok. I’m definitely enjoying your blog and look
